In addition to Nikole, we enjoy the assistance of other midwives in the area when needed.  Diana Brunner has a long history of birthing in this area and while she does not maintain and active midwifery practice any more, she oftens comes to births with us and other midwives in the area when she can.

Our previous birth assistant, Deanna Shelton, has returned to school and is completing a masters in nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.While she no longer comes to birth, we look forward to working with her in new ways in the future.

The Memphis Area Birthing Community (midwives, doulas and educators) meet periodically for newtorking and shared learning.  We have several women who have expressed interest in assisting at births and always welcome inquiries.  As we move into larger office space, we will be working with the area midwives to creaeting learning opportunities for those intested in assisting at births.  Please contact us if you are interested in being on the mailing list for these gatherings.
